I have a chronic pain condition and I need to be flexible about how I approach it. It's no good just seeing a single practioner and relying on addictive pain medication when I can take some proactive measures to manage my own pain. I have regular appointments with physiotherapists and acupuncturists, as well as my GP and specialists. It's a lot of work to manage my pain this way but at the same time it's totally worth it to feel like I have some control over my body again.
